‘Tis the season to hold your breath while Nash organizers announce more and more speakers making their way to Ottawa this January. For the uninitiated, Nash is an annual, Canada-wide student journalism conference. This year it’ll take place at the Ottawa Convention Centre, right in the shadow of Parliament Hill. Attendees are treated to workshops with prominent speakers and often inspiring and engaging keynotes over dinner. There are events throughout the five days, which include the JHM awards, a gala and time to explore the Ottawa downtown.
The catch? Deadlines are coming up, fast. Tomorrow (November 15) is the last day to get in on early bird rates and the last day to enter your excellent work into the John H. McDonald awards.
The awards are currently in their 11th year. They have been created to recognize outstanding student journalists across the country for their work in reporting, multimedia and photography. Anyone can enter the JHMs but the rules are strict, to be sure work is considered by our excellent judges, every point has to be followed. More here: http://www.cupnash.com/NASH_ACCESS/jhm-awards/
Consider this your last warning before deadline hits.
