Awards and other honours… 

Arthur F. Burns Fellowship work as foreign correspondent in Germany through a two-month long professional exchange. You will spend August and September 2014 reporting for home and host news organizations. The exchange is administered by the International Center for Journalists in Washington, D.C. and the Internationale Journalisten-Programme (IJP) in Königstein, Germany.

Canadian Science Writers’ Association is, for the first time ever, looking to award three new awards — all of which student journalists are eligible for! The deadline to submit to all three CSWA awards is March 1, 2014.

CSWA Science Communication Award — $1,000 prize

CSWA 2014 Herb Lampert Emerging Journalist Award — $1,000 prize for an individual or team 

Canadian Association of University Teachers’ award for excellence in education journalism in the student category.
